Birubi was tasked with the collection and removal of refuse and debris from around individual properties within the Davenport Community village. The refuse and material varied in widely in nature, size and distribution. Some of the material was potentially hazardous (eg asbestos, ACM). The general waste was collected and transport in skips and removed to be disposed of at a licenced retrieval facility in Port Augusta. 100% of the workforce on this project lived in the Davenport community and some staff have retained ongoing employment with Birubi.
