This project involved construction of a 5m wide vegetation clearance zone adjacent 320km of fence-lines in the Cultana Expansion Area, to facilitate inspection by the client, Ventia, and also to reduce the risk of damage caused by vegetation. Birubi applied a dedicated work crew of a Cat12 grader, 4WD support vehicle, supervisor, and operator. Through this project, Birubi also achieved the supplementary objective of enabling a local Aboriginal employee to gain sufficient, supervised grader operating experience to acquire the relevant plant operation ticket.
