In conjunction with sealing of the Strzelecki Track (by others), DIT engaged Birubi to undertake associated works, including road-side vegetation removal prior to sealing, and installation of road furniture including guideposts and signs.  The work was undertaken in three campaigns, using Leigh Creek as a base.  The work involved significant logistics planning to ensure that workers could work safely in the harsh and remote environment on the Track to the east of Lyndhurst.  Works were commenced on short notice within one week of engagement by DIT, and completed promptly to meet DIT’s tight timeline.
